INCLUSIONS

This holiday runs from Sunday to Sunday and will include:

ITINERARY:

On the harder weeks we visit many of the areas we visit on the easier weeks but we ski faster and further.
Sunday:
Included airport transfer. Briefing at dinner.
Monday to Wednesday and Friday to Saturday.
The local region the 'Haute Savoie' boasts more than 16 cross-country ski areas. Rather than deciding in advance where to ski we prefer to tailor-make our visits according to weather, snow conditions and the needs of the individual group. However we normally do the first two days in Italy with emphasis on improving our techniques with more intensive instruction for those who wish. In France instruction and guiding is not included in the holiday package and no charge is made for this. Oliver generally enjoys skiing with his guests showing them the best places to go and offering them ski tips. However in France this is not an included or paid for item in the holiday. He does so because he wants to. Praz de Lys and the Plateaux de Beauregard both lying on 1500 metre high plateaux are among the favourites in France along with Les Contamines and Agy. One of the highlights of the week will be a day out in Italy to ski the 1600 metre high Ferret Valley, also much appreciated in summer by our walking groups with its dramatic views of the Southern face of Mont Blanc. Not to forget our base, the Chamonix Valley which hosted the first ever Winter Olympics in 1924. Here the north face of Mont Blanc provides unrivalled views and Chamonix's extensive snow making assures some excellent cross-country conditions throughout the winter.
Thursday: For our free day we have complimentary travel on the local trains and buses making it easy to explore Chamonix's bustling town centre and perhaps cross-country or downhill ski in the local areas. Alternatively, you can take a ride on one of the highest cable cars in the world with spectacular views of Mont Blanc.
Sunday: Included airport transfer. Click here for details
